Answers Bible Curriculum Year 3 Quarter 2 Lesson 7
This week in Sunday school, we look at Jesus’ most well known teaching: the Sermon on the Mount. Many Christians and even unbelievers will recognize phrases from this section of Scripture: “turn the other cheek,” “do not judge so that you will not be judged,” and “take the log out of your own eye.” But did Jesus merely offer a series of pithy commandments and sayings in these verses, or were all of these words driving at a more major message? If the latter, what was that message? We’re going to investigate Jesus’ sermon together to find out.
Our main text for Sunday school, then, will be Matthew 5:1-8:1.
