  • Calvary Work Day

    Calvary Work Day

On Saturday, July 28, 2018, we held our Work Day here at the church. It was a blessing to have our members and friends help with some much-needed maintenance and upkeep on the church grounds.

    Sanctuary Clean Up

We were able to clear out and organize two storage spaces in the front of the church. We also did a bit of yard work and clean up in the basement.

Many thanks to our deacons for organizing the day and for the many hands that helped make the burden lighter. It was nice to fellowship with everyone over a slice of pizza after!

These work days will come up as the need arises. So keep an eye out in the bulletin and on the calendar for our next one.

  • New Church Signs

    New Church Signs

As Yiyin shared in a previous post about the new bulletin, there are quite a few changes that need to happen with our recent name change, one of those is the external church signs.

The sign directly in front of the church was designed and crafted by a gifted church member.

    Church Sign 2

The sign on the corner of Amwell Rd and Franklin St was recently installed by a local business.

We are thankful for everyone involved in these projects!

  • New Speakers

    New Speakers

Last week was the grand debut of the long awaited speaker and sound system installation!

Many hours of work went into this project. Countless hours were spent researching the proper equipment, trying to figuring out what would be best for the unique design and acoustics of the church sanctuary.

Aside from the months of research for this, the actual days of putting it in was incredible!  You would never know because by Sunday everything was back in tip top shape. It required crawling into dirty spaces and places and removing heavy wiring and cables.  It was a massive amount of work.

We just wanted to send a quick thanks to all for their hard work. We hope you are able to enjoy better sound quality!

Many many thanks for using your freedom to serve us humbly in love!

“You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.” -Gal. 5:13

  • Lighting and Ceiling Tile Work is Complete

Lighting and Ceiling Tile Work is Complete

In our previous post from February, we shared updates from the ceiling and lighting project in the sanctuary. We are happy that the project is now complete!

Here are some before and after pics:

The recessed lighting offers a softer glow and more widespread coverage than the fluorescent lights.

The contractor also added brighter and more efficient bulbs to the wall sconces around the church and improved the lighting over the instrument area.

    Baptismal Lights

Two lights were also added over the baptismal which will be a blessing to those reading their testimonies!

Thank you to the deacons and all who helped in this endeavor.
