    Mark Twombly

Mark has been a member of Calvary since 2020 and an elder candidate since January 2025. Mark oversees the Iron Man men’s ministry and missionary care. Mark also teaches in Sunday School, preaches occasionally, and serves on the greeting and security teams.

Mark came to Christ as a child shortly after his parents, who came to Christ after leaving the military and moving back to their home town in Connecticut. God has awakened and cultivated in Mark a love for God’s word through the faithful ministry of both the local church and the ministry of the Navigators, which are why Mark has lived in NJ since high school. Mark has received a B.A. in Mathematics with an emphasis in Computer Science from Rutgers College, is a certified project manager (PMP) with several industry certifications, and currently works as a senior technical project management consultant.

Mark and his wife Betty have six children and five grandchildren and live in Belle Mead, NJ. Mark enjoys spending time with Betty and the family, watching or playing good sports (including football and disc golf), listening to classic rock and classical music, and interacting around the topics of leadership, history, and philosophy with friends and family to experience fullness of life in Christ.

Colossians 1:28-29 describe Mark’s life purpose, revolving all things around God’s purpose of presenting “every man complete in Christ,” and has a passion for teaching and equipping leaders in their homes, churches, and vocations to that end. Mark’s prayer is that God would captivate people with the beauty, power, and sufficiency of His word for all of life, and that Mark would be an example of a man fully captivated by Christ. To that end Mark has authored God and His Word: A Devotional Commentary in Psalm 119. You can read more about Mark from his blog, In His Grip.

God drew Brian to salvation through his now-wife, Natalie. Brian met Natalie in 2007 and started going with her to Christ Community Church in Piscataway, NJ. • Khaleef Crumbley

    Khaleef Crumbley

Khaleef has been a member of Calvary since 2011 and has served as an elder since 2015. He leads the Young Adult Ministry, contributes as a member of the worship team, and occasionally preaches from the pulpit or teaches in Sunday school.

Khaleef first heard about Christ after high school from a former music teacher. Curious, Khaleef began attending a church and reading the Bible for the first time. Through the reading of Scripture, God brought Khaleef to saving faith. Khaleef received a B.A. and an M.A. in Economics from Rutgers University and today works as a business manager in the New Brunswick area. He also got interested in creating hot sauces and jams and started Crumbley Kitchen.

Khaleef and his wife, Sherrian, live in Middlesex County. In his spare time, Khaleef enjoys listening to good jazz music, laughing at cartoons with Sherrian, spending time with people, and powerlifting.

Khaleef’s great passion for the church is to see everyone in it growing in personal holiness. Though a serious commitment to holy living is missing in many of today’s churches and is often mislabeled as “legalistic”, the Bible shows us that holiness is both commanded and expected of Christ’s followers. Khaleef’s prayer is that, at Calvary, we would view holiness as not just a command, but as a way of pursuing our ultimate joy in Jesus Christ, turning away from sinful habits and turning toward our good God!
